Question:

Help with Preschool Paintings!

My little preschooler comes home every day with at least 5 paintings. Of course they're adorable but they already cover every spare inch of wall, including his room and the kitchen! Does anyone have any imaginative ideas about what to do with them or creative ways to use them as I can't bear to throw any out?

  1. If you have the software necessary, scan them and put them on a disc. That way your child can see them as a "gallery showing" all at one time on the television. i do this for my preschooler and he loves to just sit and watch his masterpieces. I add my narrations and we have a permanent, long lasting record of the wonderful work. Then you can do whatever with the originals. Also, make up your mind that you will have to discard some of the work or scrapbook. But eventually you will not have any room in your home.

  2. I'm planning on putting all of my son's art in photo albums.  That way we can just have volumes of his art instead of boxes or drawers and I won't worry about it getting destroyed.  How about once they've been displayed for a week or so, they go into the photo album to make room for the new art?

  3. We had the same problem we went out and brought a laminator that way we just put them in a folder and they won't get dirty or torn.

  4. Maybe you can create a folder with her pics! I'd still would suggest if you pick and choose because this isnt over!! LOL You'll have pics coming out of your years by the time she's 5!

I believe I saw at the Craft store some folders for kids paintings... because they're bigger and wider than any other paper at times!

I think the Craft Store would be a good place to find something to keep your kid's art work.

    Good luck!
