Help with Resume Please?

I need help to elaborate my position as a payment poster at a medical office for my resume. Here is what I have:

Payment Poster

-Posted payments to appropriate patient accounts

-Applies credit adjustments to patient accounts

-Copied and Scanned Explanation of Benefits for online retrieval

-File posted batches

-Maintain and organized file room

That's all I did so i need help making sound more professional and detalied. Thanks.

  1. Make sure to use past tense for each item, such as "Applied", "Posted", "Filed". This applies even if you're describing your current job.

    Also list any awards or special recognition for your work, even if it isn't documented.

    Always include a cover letter, explaining to the prospective employer why you think you would be qualified for the job.

  3. You should stick to the same tense (i.e. Posted...Applied...Copied...Filed...Main...

    If you want to elaborate you position, tell how your performed these duties after you explain what it was that you did.  I, personally, do not feel it necessary to elaborate any further than what you already have listed...I do not want to wade through a lot of verbiage when reviewing resumes for a new hiring.

    What machines are you capable of operating?  If you type, what is your WPM speed?

    What do you expect from this new position?  What are you looking for?
