Question:

Help with Router Problems?

Well I got a router the other day. It was a Linksy's wireless router, and it came with the CD, router, and the plugs. The front box just says EtherDast Cable/DSL Router with 4 Port Switch. I know this is the right one that I needed since we have DSL, but I just can't seem to use it. So I tried installing it the other day, and I did it all right. However, when I clicked find router, it said that the router was unable to be found, and I was unable to access the Internet. When I was reading the instructions it said that the 3 lights should be on; on the router. There were 3 lights on but I was still unable to use it nor connect to the internet. I was wondering if anyone knows why I couldn't get this to work and if theres anything that I needed to do to get this to work. Thanks in advance.

  1. Plug the router to your computer with a network cable

Open your web browser and type "192.168.1.1" without the quotes.

This should take you to the router's log-in screen.  You can now set-up your router.
