  1. use your fingertips

  2. i find that if ur using the palms of ur hands. dont. try using the pds of ur finger tips. it makes the ball easier to handle

  3. well you can practice alot more or you  can get a trainer

  4. I am a setter as well. My coaches always start practice with me going to a wall and setting really close to get my hands warm. Also make sure that your hands are wide open and that when you set your wrist dont break. If you are wanting to become more accuate with your hitter and have them get use to you then ask your coach if you can spend like 5 minutes with each hitter at some practice and just do that set over and over so they get use to your set and you can gt use to where they need to ball to be for them to be a hitter.

  5. Hi I have been setting probably less than you have but I think I'm pretty good at it. I have been playing volleyball for 5 years and setting for 2 and a half years.I think you should Try setting using more of your legs to push the ball out instead of just arms. for your double touches lay on your back on the floor and practice making the ball go straight up and come straight down. You may also have someone toss the ball every where and chase after it while trying to make the ball go straight up then after you get the ball up and high aim for weak side then middle, and then outside. Trust me this will help out your game a lot

  6. You can touch your hands together right before you set.  When the ball is comgin towards you put your thumb, pointer fingers and middle fingers together.  Just touching on the finger tips.  This will keep your hands closer together when you do set.  Also try setting against the wall, only touching the volleyball with those fingers.  Set really fast and really close to the wall, This will help with consistency.  you can feel where the ball is supposed to touch your fingers.  As you continue to play, they will call double touches more and more often.  It also depends on the ref.  Have fun!

  7. 1. you really have to imagine and concentrate on where you want the ball to go.

    2. then practice with each of the hitters of your team to form some sort of chemistry with each of them so that you and YOUR (your a setter, spikers owe it all to you, you own them) hitters would have a mental understanding of where you want the ball to go each time.

  8. Well I'm no expert but....when you set don't have ur arms already up before it touches your hands. People tend to do that. Also never let the palm of your hand touch the ball. Think of this.....before setting put your hands to your head like moose ears and then when it touches your fingertips push up like superman. Don't make it go straight in the air though. Make it go in front of u!

  9. Make sure that you are setting it with you fingerpads and not your palms. I usually set against the wall sitting down first to make sure that I'm warmed up. This makes it more accurate for me. Make sure that you are square to the target. Push with your legs.  Thumbs back.

Make sure that you get there with your feet. Just because they aren't strict doesn't mean that they won't call it!

    Good Luck!!

  10. I play volleyball and i am a setter. I get sometimes called on that too. Be careful the way you set. What i am doing now is jump setting which is really good. Keep working on setting and soon you will be the best.
