  1. It is normal. What it is doing is telling you that things on your computer are trying to make changes and are you o.k. with that.

If you are installing a game or program, then yes.

If you are doing absolutly nothing, then probably not.

If it is asking you about things you have no idea about, then use your judgement on what exactly you are doing when it asks you, or try googeling whatever it is that it says is changing.

  2. You must have your resident "TeaTimer" enabled.  When TeaTimer is enabled, it is a permanently running feature of Spybot that does on-access scanning.  This means that it will instantly detect and counteract threats and unsolicited system settings changes.  When Spybot is first installed it takes a snapshot of your computer's system settings.  If it detects any changes in your system settings TeaTimer will pop up and ask you if you want to allow this change.  If it is a change that you have made yourself, then your should allow it.  If this happens out of the blue when you have done nothing to cause any system changes, you should not allow the change.

You should check out the Spybot "Help" feature .  Click on "Help" in the menu  and in the "Contents" tab, click on "Tools", then click on "Resident Tea Timer" to learn more about TeaTimer.

Also, in the "Contents" tab, click on the "TeaTimer" section.

You should study the Help section in Spybot, you will find it very helpful.  You should also take the "Tutorial".  It's important that you understand the program you are using.

    Hope this helped.
