  4. 1. All the Negroes stand as Atticus walks down the courtroom aisle after he looses Tom's case because they are showing their respect for him for trying to win the case, standing up for Tom, and not being like the other whites who think that all Negroes are the equivelent to nothing. Most whites do not like the fact that Atticus was trying to help Tom. A few of the people who differed in opinion from the majority of the whites were Atticus, Scout, Jem, and Dill. There are some others but I forgot.

    2. The Blacks show their appreciation for the way Atticus handled the Robinson case by standing up when he passes by the Negroes balcony after losing the case and by sending him a lot of food.

    4. Dill gets upset when Mr. Gilmer cross examines Tom because of the language that Mr. Gilmer uses and the way he talks to Tom.

    5. The mistake that Tom made when he said that he helped Mayella because he felt sorry for her was that most whites believed that Negroes were below them and that Negroes should never say, do, or think anything that suggests that they might be higher in social status than whites.

  5. 1. All the Negroes stand as Atticus walks down the courtroom aisle after he loses tom's case to SHOW RESPECT for Atticus for TRYING to win. All the whites differ in their opinions of the work he has done

    2. The Blacks show their appreciation for the way Atticus handled to Robinson case by standing as he walks down the courtroom aisle AND sending him "enough food to bury the family"

    5. He made no mistake. Tom Robinson HIMSELF was considered as a mistake for being black
