I had a total Abdominal Hysterectomy in March and I don't seem to be suffering much at all with the menapause. I'm 50.

However I do suffer greatly from Ulcerative Colitis and Aneamia.

I am not sleeping at all well and for the last few weeks I am having to get up at night up to 6 times for a wee so this is agrevating my insomnia and causing more distress to me.

A visit to my GP has confirmed NO urinary infection and my doctor wants me to try Vigifem.

I'm a bit confused really as there is nothing about excess peeing in the paperwork with this oestrogen replacement medicine and I do NOT have ANY of the syptoms that are mentioned in that leaflet at all.

I don't want to take any hormone replacement therapy that I don't really need as is carries some concern, but I do want this bladder problem to go.

Is Vigifem REALY going to help my condition please?

  1. Your urinary frequency might be a menopausal symptom.

The urethra is made from the same tissue as the v****a and during the menopause they both get a bit dry.

If the urethra is dry and getting a bit "shrivelled" it is going to feel uncomfortable and you will get an irritated feeling as if you need to pee.

Vagifem gets rid of these symptoms by restoring the natural elasticity to both v****a and urethra.
