My old computer ran on XP, my new computer runs on Vista. On my new computer, the one with Vista, I don't have Microsoft Word, I'm wondering how I can get it, or if I can.

Any help is greatly appreicated

  1. I had the same issue come up when I got Vista and I found this works just fine - it's free and safe:

  2. You can have a free lookalike version in 'Open Office'.  The link will give you details and you can download it from their website link.  See the links at the end of the Wikipeda information.  I find it great and it is now Vista compatible.

  3. Yes, Openoffice is a good alternative to Microsoft Word perhaps even better but that's my opinion. Anyways Open Office is a Good Alternative.

  4. Yes you can, not sure if you can use an "older" version or not, but look for "Microsoft Office" products, 'Word' 'Excel' and 'Power Point' are in 'office'.
