Help with a 2000 Polaris Trailblazer 250?

I broke my chain on my Polaris 250 and i was going to get a new one but i dont know what size i need i know i need a 520 o-ring chain. I was looking online and i found that I would need 520x88 but then i went outside and i counted the links and there were only 44 links so can anyone help me?

  1. Unless you've changed from the stock gear ratio, dealerships and GOOD websites (denniskirk.com, rockymountainatv.com, etc) will be able to provide you with an exact match.  If you've changed from stock, count the number of teeth on each sprocket, and add or subtract from a stock length.


  2. You miscounted the links.

    Every "side plate" is 2 links.

    There are two types of links - and inner and an outer (the one with the side plate is the outer).

    You only counted half the links.

    Double your figure and you get 88 as required.
