Help with a 4.3 chevy?

Question

i have a 88 chevy 4.3 that i am going to change from tbi to carburated i have the hei distributor but i need an intake and a tranny like a 350 turbo or a 700r4 NO ELECTRONIC STUFF and this needs to be around ftsmith arkansas thanks guys

go to wrecking yard and look for 85 full size pickup or van, with 4.3, and get used 4 bbl intake.  Then a 700 r 4 uses an electronic torque converter lock-up, but will shift otherwise.  The older 350 turbo will work, but later models have the electronic torque converter lock up as well.  (it's a clutch in the torque converter that locks it in direct drive to save gas)
