Question:

Help with a Belkin Wireless G router?

I seem to be having an issue with my router. While I seem to be having no trouble at all connecting with it via wireless, the ethernet cable running from my Xbox to the router is not working. It's not showing up as connected on the router, and when I run the tests through the Xbox, it says not wired. It's not the cable, because I've tried it with 3 seperate ethernet cables (including the one running from the modem to the router). Anyone have any idea what it might be...

Ps: There was a lightning storm last night, while I had the router turned off during the storm, might that have had any effect on it?

  1. Just check carefully your physical connection.  Sometimes by plugging it to hard or not correctly affects the overall connections.

  2. try this 1 turn the modem and router then disconnect the ethernet cable from router to modem turn the modem back on once all the lights are on turn on the router and once all those lights are on plug the ethernet cable back in   if this doesn't work try resetting the router via the reset button on the back with a ball point pen
