Help with a Press Release for a PR job?

I need to submit a Press Release announcing my appointment to this position. I've never done this before, any advice will be great...

Just do an internet search for "job announcement press release" and you will find many examples that other companies used for this purpose.  Or go to any related company's web site and find their press release section and see what they do.

I assume you already checked your own company's site/records to see what they have done in the past?  This is your best option because if will show the specific corporate style and provide the approved text for the company "boilerplate" description.
