Hi,

I'm taking A-level Photography next year, and I've got my eye on a camera for it. It's reasonably priced and has a good zoom. I don't want a DSLR because of the price and I'm worried I will break it :S

The camera I would like to get is the Fujifilm Finepix S5800.

I was just wondering if anyone knew if it was a good camera, and if it would be suitable for A-level Photography?

Thanks!

  1. It's a very good camera, but for your Class I'd suggest the Fuji Finepix S100fs ... it has full manual controls of all functions in the camera, and would be more suitable for your class.  http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/fujifilm...

  2. David M is correct. Check with your teacher Before buying any camera. A good chance teacher may want class to buy a 35mm SLR.

  3. I would check with your instructor before buying a camera. Most classes in my experience will require an SLR either film or digital.
