Help with a car question!?

Is 173,000 miles high for a 95 Nissan Altima GXE? Anyone know how many miles a car like this can expect to achieve on average for the life time of the car? I'm considering to purchase, other than high miles it's in excellent shape.

There is no way to tell. It could run another 100000 miles with no major problems of it could completely fall apart tomorrow.  If you buy it that's just a chance you take.

The mileage is high.  What I would do is take the car to a good mechanic.  Have them check it out and if they say it is in good shape see what kind of deal you can make.  Also check what is the blue book value for the car.  You can check that out on the Blue Book web site.

  It  is  to  much  $$$$   for  a  95  with  a  very  high  mileage,

         but  it  is  your  call  ,look  around  more ,check  at  Kelly's  blue  book  on line  for   the  going  price  of  the  car  I    am  sure  you  will  find  a  better  one  for  the  money  you  have  .

It does not matter about the millage it depends how the car is maintained

yes the mileage is high but if its serviced and looked after then you need to drive it check for smoke and clonks and bangs

mileage isnt always a bad thing
