Help with a essay on on the impact of immigation on the family unit?

i am wanting to write an essay on the impact that imigation on the family unit my yfriend is from mexico and him and his father live here in the USA his mother and two sisters and brother just moved backed to mexico about 3 months ago it saddens me to see my boyfriend missing his family so much. i want to write this essay for him and my new family it is a school assinment but i have no clue were to start PLEASE HELP

immigration. it helped and hurt our country equally. as you probably know, due to immigration, there is no american culture like there is mexican, italian or chinese culture. we are a blend of cultures. where it gets bad, the illegal immigrants are taking jobs. Lets say these are statistics.

illegal immigrants- get into the country

legal immigrants who apply to get in- most dont get in.

this means, those who break our laws get in, those who respect our laws and respect our great nation, get the boot. thats like a smart person getting all f's, and a dumbo getting a's, even if dumbo didnt deserve it. the choice is clear. i know you like your friend and i hope that hes legal, immigration really musr unfortunately stop until we can get rid of the people who disrespected and disgraced our nation by not caring about the laws of USA.

and there is NO lack of articles/opinions on it.  All you have to do is Google.

This process is called research and is an integral part of your studies.

Research the topic of immigration.  Read articles on both sides of the issue, not just one or two, but several.  Then form your OWN opinion and write about it.  You can use your friend's situation as an example in your essay to give it a personal touch.
