Help with a first date?

im supposed to go out with a guy tonight on our first "date". i spoke to him around 4:30 and he said hed call me later to go out. its already 8 p.m he still hasnt called. what is the cut off time for him to call. for example calling at 10 pm is kind of rude and i wont awnser . but i need opinions if i should awnser the phone after 8?

If you like this guy and think he is worth your time then you do pick up. After all by your description he didnt say WHEN hes going to call. However if he is really late you should forget about him because that is informal of him

I wouldnt worry quite yet. The night is still young. Im sure he is a little nervous, but if you're that worried, you can call him ask him if u guys r still on for the night.

Sure, find out what the problem was.  You cant assume that just because he hasnt called, he is not interested, he may have got caught in traffic or school or work issues.  or he forgot which can happen.

I would definitely answer after 8. I know the saying "The first impression is the best" but in this case especially since this is your first date give him a chance to explain why he didn't call you back earlier. Always give the person the benefit of the doubt because you never know what may have happened during the time he called you until now.
