Help with a history book?

i'm reading When Plague Strikes for history and i have to answers questions. it is about different plagues throughout history. one of the questions is What is the nature of the problem?

does that question want to know like the type of disease and problems it causes? or something else?

What problem is it asking it about, it makes a huge difference...

I know you listed something, but you may want to put more details and I  could be able to help you possibly.

It probably does mean the disease and it's problems. I don't know what else it could mean...

But don't take my word for it. I could be wrong.
