  1. Spanish coasts, all around. But if shopping is of importance... Puerto Banus in Marbella. You can shop until 2 AM.

  2. A 3 year old!  Difficult. I remember being 3. You get tired and bored and over-excited all at the same time.

There is a small tourist town just south of Barcelona, Sitges.

It has a good beach, is near Barcelona (one hour) and Port Aventura for days away from the beach. Shopping is good for a small town.

The Costa del Sol is probably too hot for a 3 year old to spend a lot of time on the beach. I would keep clear of the Barcelona beaches with a little kid because of the potential polution.

I agree with everything that the others say about Barcelona.

  3. Definitely Barcelona. It a fabulous destination with great beaches, activities and restaurants, and relatively affordable compared to most of Spain. We rented an apartment and found it less expensive than a hotel (we stayed 5 days). Grocerie stores are everywhere and it is easy to manage.

  4. Anywhere on the Costa del Sol, if you and your son can stand the heat. Benidorm has probably the most facilities for kids but isn't a terribly attractive city and gets a bit drunken yobbish at night. There are some good child-friendly resorts south of Barcelona. Also, the town of Javea about an hour south of Valencia is a bit quieter and has great beaches, though not much shopping. Why not stay there and have a couple of days' shopping in Valencia, which has very good shops. Of the Spanish islands Majorca is probably best if you're going there with a kid.

  5. i would take my two grand- daughters to los boliches feungirola clean and no hills good childrens park  and shops in feungirola losboliches  torromelinos

  6. The streets of Barcelona are alive by day or night, providing the visitor with a safe place for strolling around, whether for shopping, eating or simply passing the time of day. There is also 1 mile long city beach with clean soft sand, ideal for sun bathing.
