  1. I'm in Chicago, and just came back from Louisville last Friday.  Nice area.

Anyway, just ask the neighbors if you can borrow chairs.  Most people won't sit much anyway, so having 25 is not necessary.   Make sure you get GOOD food, not cheap food.  People will remember that part more than chairs.  You do the main stuff and ask your guests to each bring something, even soda.  I would not worry too much about desserts either.  It has been my experience that most desserts go to waste.  Have some cookies as they will hold up in the heat.    NO chocolate.

  2. rental places. They normally have chairs, tables, etc to rent. If you don't know where to find them, call a caterer and ask where they rent their chairs from.

  3. It's going to be in the backyard right?

You can go to your nearest Sears and get a few fold-out chairs and you might even find a few other things that you want. Also, tell you're guests to bring their own chairs if they can. (My family brings our own chair somethimes when we go to cookouts)

You have a BBQ grill too, right?

    ANYWAY

For a cook out, Sears is definately the place to find everything you need.

  4. There should be a lot of party rental places in your area. Even some churches or reception halls sometimes rent out chairs and tables when they are not using them.

Start making your reservations now - that's a 4th of July weekend and the rental places will be swamped with people in need of chairs and tables.

Start shopping your local dollar stores or discount stores for bargains on vinyl table cloths,  plastic flatware and cups. You will also need lots of napkins and paper plates.

25 people isn't too bad of a number. Not to big and not too small. Have fun!

  5. Try looking up Party Rentals in Louisville Kentucky.  I went online and there are several options that most likely will suit your needs.
