  1. first find the decimal:

    (# of interest)/(total #)

here, the "# of interest" = how many hrs worked at night = 12

    total # = 18

    so,

    12/18 = .666

to go from decimal --> %, multiply the decimal by 100%.

    .666 x 100% = 66.6%

  2. Hopefully you are allowed to use calculators, I find it hard to not use one.. anyways, you:

Make your numbers into a fraction with the total being on the bottom (It's usually the bigger number) So in this case, it would be: 12/18

Now, the / means to divide.  So in this case you would do: 12 divided by 18 is .666666666(repeating)7     You should always have a number smaller than one (1) unless the bottom number of the fraction is smaller than the top.

Now you just multiply the decimal by 100.  So in this case you would get the answer 66.666(repeating)7 % (percent).  So roughly 67% (percent)

    Hope I helped!  ; - D

  3. The percent worked at night is the number of hours worked at night divided by the total hours worked times 100 percent.

    12/18=66.67%
