  1. Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind;

And therefore is wing'd Cupid painted blind.

A lion among ladies is a most dreadful thing.

The eye of man hath not heard, the ear of man hath not seen, man's hand is not able to taste, his tongue to conceive, nor his heart to report, what my dream was.

For never anything can be amiss,

When simpleness and duty tender it.

And therefore is Love said to be a child,

Because in choice he is so oft beguiled.

  2. "But I might see young Cupid's fiery shaft

Quench'd in the chaste beams of the watery moon,

And the imperial votaress passed on,

    In maiden meditation, fancy-free.

Yet mark'd I where the bolt of Cupid fell:

It fell upon a little western flower,

Before milk-white, now purple with love's wound,

    And maidens call it love-in-idleness.

    Fetch me that flower;"

from Oberon's speech to Puck, Act 2, Scene 1

"Titania waked and straightway loved an ***."

Puck to Oberon, Act 3, scene 2

"Lord, what fools these mortals be!"

Puck to Oberon, Act 3 scene 2

"Lovers and madmen have such seething brains,

    Such shaping fantasies, that apprehend

More than cool reason ever comprehends.

The lunatic, the lover and the poet

    Are of imagination all compact:"

Theseus to Hippolyta, Act 5, scene 1

"Give me your hands, if we be friends,

    And Robin shall restore amends."

Puck, Last lines of Act 5.

    Hope this helps.

  3. Go to this website:

    http://www.allgreatquotes.com/shakespear...

Here you can choose from a list of many quotes from A Midsummer Night's dream. Plus, it tells you the act and scene (ex. 1.1 means that it is act 1, scene 1)

    Hope this helps! ^_^

  4. The course of true love never did run smooth.

    A Midsummer Night's Dream, 1. 1

    My heart

    Is true as steel.

    A Midsummer Night's Dream, 2. 1

Lord, what fools these mortals be!

    A Midsummer Night's Dream, 3. 2

The eye of man hath not heard, the ear of man hath not seen, man's hand is not able to taste, his tongue to conceive, nor his heart to report, what my dream was.

    A Midsummer Night's Dream, 4. 1

and of course, perhaps the most popular one:

    If we shadows have offended,

Think but this, and all is mended,

That you have but slumbered here

    While these visions did appear.

    A Midsummer Night's Dream, 5. 1
