Help with a name of a book title?

It a book my English teacher was forced to read in university. It's a book where someone just wrote down what they were thinking? It didn't have paragraphs, or chapters or sentences or anything. It was just a book of thoughts. Does anyone know the name of it?

There are whole genres devoted to this type of writing. Try searching online for "stream of consciousness" or "free association". Wikipedia will have partial lists of the more famous books in these genres. Good Luck with your search.

Haven't read it, but it started off as a college report, then became and inspirational book.
