  1. I would suggest that you post this question in a more relevant category.  Special education is for questions that concern students with special needs such as autism, ADHD, cognitive impairments, learning disabilities, etc.

A better choice would be to go to the Business and Finance Category, which has a subcategory of Careers and Employment.  Under that subcategory, you will find a section for Health Care.  You are far more likely to receive some truly knowledgeable answers there.  Good luck!

  2. Well you've near enough got your first paragraph there! The fact that you've waited until a time when you can give the course your all to make sure you achieve as highly as possible is a good point.

And I'd go for something catchy to open it, like how much of a wonder childbirth is, the miracle of bringing in new people to the world, people that could grow up to be famous/do something amazing/worldly important.

Mention your experience as a mother and how that inspired you to become a midwife. Did you have good care when giving birth which meant you wanted to be as good as those midwives that helped you?

Is there a local college you could contact maybe to give you help about writing your personal statement as a mature student?

Good luck with it, and get it sent in as easily as possible to give you more chance. The deadline is January but I'd go for December at the latest. After all, some people have got offers already and you aren't suppose to hear back until March!

    Good luck :)

  3. Search your past experiences and make a list of your attainments. Do not go down the" I've done the  practical bit now I want some theory route. And do not try to come over as Mother Theresa.
