  1. Avoid stretching- this will only worsen the pain. Soak your leg in hot water or wrap a hot, wet towel around your leg. This happens to me all the time and eventually the pain goes away in like, 2 days.

  2. If it is truly a pinched nerve then you need to see a doctor so that you can get at the root of the problem (no pun intended).  There are many reasons why a nerve can become pinched.  Some of these reasons resolve themselves, some require minor assistance from you or your doctor, and some require surgical intervention.

You can relieve the symptoms of your pain by taking an analgesic (pain killer).  A good one to consider would be ibuprofen as it is an anti-inflammatory and this could help in two ways.  You can also apply heat to help alleviate the pain.  Try a warm towel, a hot bath, or a heating pad applied to the affected area.  Do not leave a heat source on there for more than twenty minutes (you do not want to damage your skin).

I hope this helps and I hope you get to feeling better soon.
