Help with a pony bead pattern?

I am trying to do this pattern: http://www. Beadiecritters.com -> patterns -> Food -> cherries ( the first one). I've tried and tried and can't do the cherry part right! does anyone know how to do this and if so, can you give me instructions?

  1. On the pattern, it looks like you make the outside cherries first and then the middle cherry last.

    First you thread on 3 green beads and then 17 red beads.  Then you take the needle Back through the fifth bead from the end of the needle and through 4 more beads then go the opposite way through the next 5 beads, and then the go through the opposite way in the last 3 beads then weave through the opposite way on each green bead.  Then do the opposite side next.  Then used the ends of each side to complete the middle one.

  2. It looks like its done the same way the leafs are, but you go through all of one cherry/leaf with only one string. Like weave to the end then weave backwards through. So each string goes through one leaf and one cherry, then at the end they both go through the last cherry, like normal pony beading. Does that made sense?
