Every night I have been dreaming of water. My dreams are normal but there is always water in them. Usually Im just going about my house but it is filling up with clear water. Im not worried about it in the dreams and I always seem to think it is normal that im walking threw water all the time. I know that water is suppost to represant emotions but I just cant work out what my dreams are trying to tell me.

Also last night i had a dream that my partner fell asleep in the bath and I found him sleeping on the bottom of it. He looked peaceful but he was drowning. I pulled him out and he woke up. I have dreams of water every night so im sure there must be some meaning behind them. Your thoughts

  1. maybe u just wanna go swimming or u wanna go to the beach! lol

  2. This is sort of quirky- and if you believe in it.

I used to dream about water all the time as well.  ALL the time.  In water, around water, above water, water, water, water.  Not always the same dream, but sometimes, the exact same dream.  Every single night for atleast almost a year.  I didn't think much on it until I mentioned my dream to my mom.

A couple of weeks later, I hear from my sister (who lives with my mom) that my mom had gone to see a Shaman because in my culture, dreaming of water means a deceased relative is trying to contact you in your dreams.  Supposedly, the Shaman said that my Grandmother from my father's side (they're divorced, my mom and dad) is trying to tell me something because my Dad's side is not listening to her so she resorted to come through to me.  Anyway, my mom had gotten really mad because now that my mom and dad are divorced, I'm no longer part of his family's spirits but only her's (I don't think it's true, because I believe I'm part of both families spirits b/c he is my father, still).  Well, my Mom made the Shaman make my Grandmother leave me alone and she called up my Dad and had a yelling match.  Ever since then, I stopped having the same dream all the time.  Every now and again, it'll come back, but not every night like it used to.

Anyway- that's what happened.  In my culture, when someone dreams of water all the time, try to remember who was in there because it means that someone's trying to send you a message from the other side.  Wanna hear a scary one of my water dreams?

Well, I dreamt that it was raining really hard, and I was stranded with my little sister's on a dirt road.  Below, we can see a shed.  Then in the road, I saw my deceased Grandmother from my dad's side coming towards me.  Panicking, I ran off with my little sister's (who are not from the same dad, but same mom) and I run into this shed and behind me, my Grandmother is running after me, too.  I remember trying with all my might to close the door and my deceased Grandmother is trying to push the door open from her side.  I was freaking out (because I knew she was deceased) and she was trying to get into this creepy shed we were in.  Lots of rain and dark and just creeped me out.

  3. Water

To see water in your dream, symbolizes your unconscious and your emotional state of mind. Water is the living essence of the psyche and the flow of life energy. It is also symbolic of spirituality, knowledge, healing and refreshment. If the water is calm, clear, then it signifies that you are in tune with your spirituality. It denotes serenity, peace of mind, and rejuvenation. If you are splashed by water, then it represents your need to be revitalized and more expressive. To dream that water is boiling, suggests that you are expressing some emotional turmoil. It also may mean that feelings from your unconscious are surfacing and ready to be acknowledged.

To see muddy or dirty water in your dream, indicates that you are wallowing in your negative emotions. You may need to devote some time to clarify your mind and find internal peace. Alternatively, it suggests that your thinking/judgment is unclear and clouded. If you are immersed in muddy water, then it indicates that you are in over your head in a situation and are overwhelmed by your emotions.

To hear running water in your dream, denotes meditation, reflection and pondering of your thoughts and emotions.

To dream that you are walking on water, suggests that you have supreme and ultimate control over your emotions. It may also suggest that you need to "stay on top" of your emotions and not let them explode out of hand. Alternatively, it is symbolic of faith in yourself.

    House

To see a house in your dream, represents your own soul and self. Specific rooms in the house indicate a specific aspect of your psyche. In general, the attic represents your intellect, the basement represents the unconscious, etc. If the house is empty, then it indicates feelings of insecurity. If the house is shifting, then it suggests that you are going through some personal changes and changing your belief system. If you live with others in your walking life, but dream that you are living alone, suggests that you need to take new steps toward independence. You need to accept responsibilities and be more self-reliant.

  4. Water represents the full range of different emotions, and it is immensely difficult to generalize when analysing the symbolism of water images. A scene that for some may be scary might for someone else be exciting or exhilarating. Similarly, while for some people it is enough to feel emotionally comfortable and stable, others seek passion and new challenges. The waters you walk through is nothing surprising, and it bores you. What you want is something to catch your attention.

The dream about your partner: we are essentially made of water, and for the first nine months of our existence, the most sheltered protected time of our lives, we live in fluid. You partner may be remembering or making sense of this experience when you dream of him being enclosed in water or of being submerged. We talk of the waters breaking just before birth, when we are ready to make our traumatic journey into the world. Your calm partner being drowned in the tub and you pulling him out could symbolize how he wants to add excitement into your relationship, but doesn't know how. You also want to do this; if you two work together, you can make your lives together long-lasting and exciting. Dreaming about your partner is normal; it can be our unconscious mind's way of reassuring ourselves that we are still loved.

  5. Sometimes we put too much thought into our dreams.  The water in your dream may not represent anything.  You could be thinking about water, and then thinking about it more since you have been dreaming about it, and then it shows up in your dreams.  As far as the drowning goes... I would say that's anxiety.  A lot of anxiety shows up in our dreams.

  6. Water usually represents emotions.  Clear water is good since it is usually positive or at least you have clarity about them.  Since your dreams tend to have water in them all the time... i would say that you are processing your emotions a lot.

The dream about your husband at the bottom of the bath could mean that he is untroubled or unaware by the surmounting emotions... either your emotions or his own.

  7. Maybe you are picking up your mates emotions. You might be affraid of drowning him with some sort of jealousy or problem when he or she is quite comfortable with it.

  8. Well thats in interesting thing. I would try to not to  Think about it at all and listen to music while you fall asleep. That helps for me.

  9. Yes water represent your emotions . In your walking life there some worries about your husband or a close relative ; that's why you have water in your dream

  10. There are other things water can represent:

    overwhelming circumstances (like a flood)

"fresh flow" spiritually, emotionally or mentally

    renewal or something... relationships maybe?

Water represents spiritual rebirth (baptism) and also

    the Spirit of God

    It represents cleansing as well.

Concerning your partner:  Are there some things that do not bother you, but that take the life out of him?  In what ways does he seek peace?  Are these methods of "peace seeking" good or healthy for him?

Is there something in his life you feel is "lulling him to sleep"?

Even though the water looks clear, and you say you feel it is "normal" in the dreams, I can't help but wonder if there is something deadly seeping in to your life and it is rising.  Perhaps you have surrounded yourself with unholy or unhealthy influences and do not realize how dangerous they are.

Prayerfully ponder these dreams in light of some of these other symbols and questions and see if something "clicks" for you.

    God bless you.
