A 2.29 g sample f an unknown acid is dissolved in 1 liter of water. A titration required 25 ml of .500 M NaOH to completely react with all the acid present. What is the molar mass of the acid?

I just have no clue how to do titration problems..

  1. Let the unknown acid be called A. Let the NaOH solution be called NaS.

    Assume HA + NaOH ===> Na+A- + H2O

    2.29gA/25mLNaS x 1000mLNaS/0.500molNaOH x 1molNaOH/1molHA = 183.2gA/1moleA
