Me and my friends are planning to go to either Cancun or Puarto Vallarta sometime soon. I was wondering if anyboby had any helpful hints on how we should go about planning this. I looking for hotel info, best travel deals, even the best time to go, or wheter Cancun vs PV is better. Any info at all would be very very helpful.

thank you

  1. go to some travel agents and get some books on Cancun and PV then compare them and see which one slooks better...hope this helps

  2. Just a thought...

This time of year the water in Cancun will be MUCH better; warm Caribbean blue as opposed to cold Pacific gray of Puerto Vallarta...

    I'd opt for 'Cun

    Try these companies:

    Apple Vacations

    Vacation Express

    Fun Jet

    Cheap Caribbean

They all offer package tour deals; you can still pick your hotel and length of stay.

Or just check with your local travel agent!  They will have brochures that can help you plan your trip and usually very competitively priced.  They know the cities, flights, resorts - after all, that's their job!

  3. i have been to PV and it was great.. there is alot to do there.. i took a boat to a butterfly island with friends and such.. i just liked it because the water off that island was clear... i hiked through the mountians.. and it was great gave me a nice view of what life in mexico was really like instead of seeing just what vacationers want to see...  the people there were nice... neavo purato vallarta.. is where i stayed... that little city have a mall less then a block away from the hotel and the beach is right there.. it was bad ***... i want to go to cancun but i would pass up on going back to purato vallarta!!

  4. Hmm, if you want to be more adventurous, skip Vallarta, and explore, the more virgin beaches.  There the service is much cheaper, the beach is cleaner.  The bad thing is that you probably have a tough find in English speaking places.  But hey, why pay $28 for a lobster and $16 for a piña colada, when you can pay about a 1/4 of that price at more smaller, less popular beaches?
