I really need help with this one.

My computer got infected be the joke-bluescreen virus and I can't seem to be able to remove it. I googled for some solutions, but all of them required that I would download and install an anti-spyware/malware thing.

The problem is that the virus won't let me install or run any program on my computer. It won't even let me run msconfig.

Any idea on how I can solve this?

  1. well only one thing you can do boot it in safe mode  with networking then download malwarebytes antimalware and spybot searh and destroy install run it remove inaction

  2. Tough one, might not even be the joke virus.

One possibility; retsart your pc and press F8 over and over as it starts. If it gives you a chance to start in safe mode, do that. Then, while in safe mode run mscinfig, any anti-virus and anti-spy progs you have. open up your control pnel and uninstall any unfamiliar programs you see as well as any you believe may be giving you probs. You may even try system restore from safe mode.

If you can't get into safe mode, Try hitting Delete repeatedly while restarting. This will take you into setup. In setup,

wait a sec, that is too complicated and too easy to mess up without know-how...

If Safe mode does not help and/or you can't get into it, message me. I will help as best I can.

Oh god my friend had this a few weeks ago, there is only one program that can fix it, I forgot the name but it doesnt matter when you try to go to the website the virus wont let you on, the virus keeps download new viruses all the time. If you have backed up your hard drive use the back up, if not reformat

  4. Then you must install CLAMWIN

There is a portable version of ClamWin where it can be install into an USB thumb drive.

First use another PC to download Clamwin portable anti-virus

and install Clamwin portable on a USB thumb drive.
