i tried to configure the alienware pc. The latest one. When I upgrade from single nividia geoforce gx2 1 gb card to dual nividia geforce gtx 280 i have to pay 800 bucks more but when i upgrade to triple nvidia geforce gtx 280 i have to pay 1700 bucks. That means one gtx 280 card is causing me 900 bucks. Why is this?

  1. This is most likely because each different case has different video cards they'll let you get, which is really why you pay so much more, they also have a different motherboard, so thus, they only allow certain cards in certain cases, it's just a way of them not letting you get a "good deal". You need to buy a fancy case with all these LEDs and what not to get a good video card, just a way for them to get more money from you.

but just to tell you Alien Ware computers are EXTREMELY overpriced, I would highly recommend building your own computer on NewEgg, buy the parts you want and assemble it, it's easier then most people think it is, it's kinda like a big Lego kit, I mean it's kinda fun actually, also you will save your self $100-$1000, I mean I made my computer on Dell (which owns Alien Ware), then I made a wishlist on NewEgg, on Dell my total was $1800, I paid $1082, saved tons of money and have the exact computer that I wanted, I love my new computer and I really recommend building a computer to everyone, if you have two functional hands and are able to read simple instructions, then you can build a computer.
