Help with an Upside Down catfish?

Hey there,

About 2 weeks ago I was given an 80 litre indoor fish tank. As soon as I got it, filled it with water and everything else I went out and bought some fish.

My first 7 fish I bought were:

Male Fighter

Upside down catfish

Khuli Loach

Sliver Hatchett

Yellow Honey

Marble Angel

and some sort of Plec

I bought these on the 7th of August. My catfish hasnt come out of the rock that we have in there, even when food is out he will not move from underneath the rock.

Is this something they do? Are they fish that come out at night?

Why is it doing it and what should I do?

you have a 20 gallon fish tank and you are going to have problems with the fish you have bought to go in the tank,

Did you cycle the tank first before you even thought about adding fish?do you know anything about nitrite nitrate and ammonia?

regarding catfish mine come out during the day and night,i have never had a problem with them,

For your catfish you will need some live food but not every day,ghost shrimp will do if they are tiny.Catfish are night feeders and bottom feeders.Put a small amount of food in and turn off the lights,the cat eats in the dark.I would check to see he is not hung under there too.

well upside down catfish like to be in small groups so its probably lonely

Try feeding your catfish insect larvae. They usually surface to eat insects at the top.
