  1. try to elongate your vowels with a hint of a 'w' on the end of all your vowels & act like your chewing gum really loud

WATCH UGLY BETTY & PAY ATTENTION TO HILDA!!!!!!!!

  2. Watch movies with the New York accent in it, and repeat. A lot. Try to find patterns in the accent, so you can "map it out" out in your head. Also try taking a look at this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York_di...

  3. well first, NY has many accents. We have the bronx-hispanic accent, the brooklyn italian accent, the upperwest side proper accent, and then the accent that just sorta rolls around.

I'm going to guess you want to exaggerate your words and such. I'm from NY and we tend to speak fast and cut up our words. Like mirror we say mirra etc etc

When you come to NY you will hear many diff kinds of NY accents

  4. I say live to learn with the accent you have and stop trying to act like a New Yorker. I'm not to sure you can change your accent but try moving there (I guess) A friend of mine moved to Georgia with no southern accent and came back with an Southern accent.

  5. Why would you want to do that? well anyway, hang out in new york, you'll get it down.
