Help with an assignment for Black Women's History Class?

I have a couple of questions for a Black History class. I was looking for the opinion of a black woman. 1.As a black woman, what obstacles have you had to deal with in your life? I also need this question answered: As a black woman, what obstacles do you see black women dealing with in today’s society? Thanks for any help you can give me!

The one I hear some is that society (western society) has made a point making the standard of beauty something very much the opposite of traditional african/african american features.

I'm a black woman.  Some obstacles I dont let get to me.  The first answer was right on.  The ideal beauty icon is never a natural black woman look.  Also people have prejudices that all black women have bad attitudes and are controlling.
