Help with application error sign on mozilla?

everytime i go onto certain pages, none of which are pornographic,even pages which are quite popular eg facebook a sign comes up on my computer and no matter whether i pick ok or cancel it closes down every mozilla webpage open. the message says:

"the exception unknown sofware exception(xxxxxx) occured in the application at location(xxxxxxx)

click ok to teminate the programme

click on cancel to debug the prgramme

OK | CANCEL

any ideas? how do i stop this?

  1. There's a bug in Mozilla that will cause it to crash when you install a certain application or a certain add-on to the browser. I'm using Firefox and got the same problem as yours. My advice is just don't surf the site that will cause it to crash, or remove all add-ons on the browser or change to Firefox 3.0.

    (You can remove add-ons at Tools>Ad-ons)

  2. seems there is some recently added software that is causing this, had this problem also, removed a program and now ok, have you downloaded the newest firefox, I assume you are using firefox?, there were an number of bug fixes
