Help with application form?

I am applying for a job as a police constable. The form is 13 pages long! It asks why i am applying for a job in the police force and in particular the force in which im applying. I have no idea what to write. Any ideas? I just know that i really really want the job.

The police application form is tough to complete... I know as I have filled one out recently! I was offered a position and was prepared to begin training but due to a change of circumstances, I had to turn the job down. For the question about why you are applying... just mention things like:

- to serve the community (your community)

- wanting to make a difference to your region

- to work as part of a team

- to make your community a safer place

Pretty much just say things that you think they want to hear! Good luck!

You really really want the job but you don't know why?

Is it something to do with protecting and improving your local community? Wanting to make things better?

First ask yourself what made you want to become a police officer in the first place. Then ask yourself why am I choosing this department over another? Why am I better suited for this job and department over others? This should get you started on forming an answer. I would even record my answer to refer back to while I'm writing my answer.

Also at the end I would put in that you really want the job. It doesn't hurt.

If you were keen on the job - you'd know.

Just tell them why you really really want it.

Maybe say that you'd like to make a difference to today's society?

It has to come from the heart, so i've no idea, because i'm not the one applying.

If you know you really want the job then surely you must know why! Which would answer one of the questions. The second is obvious, you try for a force in your own home area so you can keep in contact with your family and friends.
