  1. You can try this company - http://carinsurance.yoll.net - I personally have their car insurance.

As I know they accept almost everyone and have cheapest insurance policies for teens and first time drivers.

  2. For automobile insurance the quick way to get a low rate is do a rate comparison on car policies. Make sure that you pick similar policies with the same limits, car make, location, etc so that all options are an accurate comparison.

What I always recommend is an online comparison quote at http://www.InsureAutoNow.info since they have discount insurers and can give several prices on car insurance polices.

  3. http://www.johnalsopinsurance.com/

check that one. I hope they can help you

  4. Hmmmmm....  I am not sure if companies insure to 17 year olds, on their own policy.  Have your mother look in to the two of you getting a separate policy with her as "excluded" which basically means you are the driver, she's just a parent for the policy to go to, but you're the one the coverage is for.

She should also be able to go to her agent or call her hotline number and find out.

Also, is she the owner of the vehicle on the registration?  If not, see if the owner will sign with you, excluded as well.  If you *are* the sole owner on the paperwork well...see below.  :)

If all else fails, go to www.progressive.com or call 18007764737 (1800 progressive) and you can connect to a rep 24/7 that can answer the questions for you; you just dial the number and then hit in policy serivces option; then ask for new jersey...

PS Progressive and Geico are the two most open-minded companies; basically they'll insure anyone so if any company does, start looking with them first!!
