I'm a bit horrible with ads but hopefully somebody can help. About to be a stay at home mom again but want to find a babysitting/nanny position where I can bring my 1 year old daughter along. I have my own transportation.

10 easy points for someone who can write a flyer for me.

  1. Once you decide what to write, you could use this site to generate it and print from there

    http://www.flyertabs.com

  2. Write all of the things you can do for someone. Ex. you are certified, you have experience, you have flexible hours. Put all of that at the end though.

    Flyer:

    Name

    Position wanted (babysitter)

    Number

Any extra info (the things posted above), and add that you already have a one year old, but reassure them that you can still handle their children.

  3. This is going to be very harsh, but...  If you cant make your own flier, I would never hire you.

  4. loving,   caring stay at home mother looking to become a caregiver to your child. Reliable person will provide many fun days at the park, pool, zoo, and many other fun adventures. Will also be bringing 1 year old daughter so your child will always have a companion. Please contact Jane Doe at 555-555-5555

  5. I first want to mention that your ability to make a flier is not necessarily reflective of your ability to nurture a child. More importantly, your willingness to ask for help demonstrates tremendous character on your part. You can't be successful in life without first being resourceful; and you are resourceful. My hats off to you.

Many moms and dads will shy away from someone who wants to bring their child with them. That is my experience. I was always open to it when I was seeking a babysitter. It didn't always work but I tried. It depends on the child and the dynamic between the child and the mother. Keep the flier general. Don't mention that you want to bring your child. It may sound deceitful but you need an opportunity to sell this idea and yourself to the right person... who may not contact you if they see on a flier that you want to bring your child. State on the flier that you are willing to negotiate your pay rate. Once you have the potential  parent/employer on the phone, mention that you are willing to negotiate pay rate because you wish to bring your own child. In the conversation propose that you come over the first time free of charge with the mom or dad there so everyone can meet and you can demonstrate how well behaved your child is and your ability to care for both children effectively.  Make sure you want to sit for them as well. My girlfriend was in this position and ran across a lady who wanted to take advantage of her, have her bring her one year old while watching her 5 kids for peanuts!  Most others turned her down. However, she found a single dad with well behaved 5 year old who was glad for his child to have the companionship of the other child.  Good luck

Use the computer to make your flier, mention that you are mature, dependable and have references.
