Help with basic economics?

Hi I was just wondering if there were any sites/books/cds etc which could tell me the basics of economics.

Any help is appreciated thank you

You should read 'The Undercover Economist' by Tim Harford. I read it last year before I started economics at college, and it made me understand what economics was all about.

From books, I would personally recommend Mankiw's "The principles of economics," and from web resources, well, why don't you start from googling :) ? There are loads of sites with different levels of exposition.
