ok, i am really annoyed with myself so you do not have to bring up how foolish i was to do this.........i re did my bathrm, the entrie tub area gutted new tile and new tub........large white tile with white grout........looked great...i had the brite idea to color the grout right around the tub area for contrast...BAD MOVE.

How can I get all the grout back to all the same color?

  1. You can scrape it out and redo it but you can also stain the grout w/ a special grout stain.. Time consuming also but it will work.. Any notable tile store has it or has access to it  GL' PS I stain my own kitchen tile grout to a dark grey and it lasted for years

  2. you will have to scrape out the colored grout that you don't like and regrout the area with the white grout.  a bit time consuming, but it can be done.  purchase a grout scraping tool from home depot or lowes and it should help the job to go quicker.  good luck!

ps.  i don't think you are foolish.  you had an idea.  sometimes ideas work and sometimes they don't.  :) i'm curious to know what you used to color the grout with.
