Help with bearded dragon

Question

Ive recently just bought a juvie and he is happy and basking one moment and then all the sudden he freaks out and runs to the corner where his water dish is and starts digging at the glass.... please help

He's just young gets ants in his pants just like a human child. I have one juvie and one adult and my juvie is always on the move as he gets older he will calm down. Just make sure he's getting out enough and getting enough human contact. Good luck they are amazing pets.

My daughter and I have had our beardie for 4 years and he has always done that.  My daughter volunteers at a local reptile rescue center and the herpetologist that owns the place told us it can either mean they want to get out and run around or, if it's a male, like ours it could be hormonal.  He might see his reflection in the glass and think his territory is being challenged by another dragon.  I usually try to take him out when he starts and he calms right down.  Good luck..beardies make awesome pets!!!

don't worry, as the other two said, it can be normal behavior and nothing at all to sweat about. If you have some time and it's doing that, just let him out. Typically mine do that only when they see me feeding someone else so i'm not sure where you keep the food but they may be looking at the food and wanting more if it is in their line of vision.

mine is a 14 year old female. she still does it at night, but younger it was quite often,She is in I think it a 200 Gallon Aquarium its 5 ft long and 2ft wide.  just normal instincts I guess. If I were in an Aquarium Id probably be trying to get out too!!
