Help with binary????

I just went onto a site that tells you about binary (http://www.docdroppers.org/wiki/index.php?title=Learning_Binary)

and it said that if you hold ALT and type in a number eg: 72, it will come up with the letter for it. I tried notepad, word pad and Microsoft word but it didn't do anything. It should have come up with H.

  1. Two critical rules for those ALT characters:

    1. Make sure your keyboard is in NumLock mode.

    2. Hold down the ALT key and enter the number on the numeric keypad.  (Note that many laptops have a blue FN key that changes a set of keys, also with blue numbers on them, into a numeric keypad.)

    Hope that helps.

  2. 1. open the command prompt (Start-> Run, Type "cmd")

    2. Press ALT and type your numbers

    :)

  3. Did you type your 72 using the numeric keypad, with it enabled using the Num Lock key?

  4. Yah but thats not binary but the ascii code like if you hold alt then write 32 and release alt it should write a space thats the ascii code for space A is 65 return is...13 I think? etc
