Help with black molly temperatures! help asap!?

ok, um is 88 degrees a good temp. for BABY black mollies? ok and say you have a heater, and without the heater the temp. of the water is 88 degrees and you turn the heater on to heat up to 88 degrees will the heat rise or stay the same? need help so confused!

  1. as long as you set your thermometer to the set level it will be ok also mollies baby mollies require 1 teaspoon of salt to every 5 litres of water  


  2. I keep my molly tank at 78 degrees. I read somewhere that they like the temp between 76-80 degrees. I think 88 is a bit hot. Did keep them at 86 degrees for a while until I Found out what the temp should be (86 was what was recommended for my siamese fighter so i just kept it the same when i got the mollies)

    with the heater- provided that it is the right size for the tank and you have a thermometer to check that its the right temp you should just be able to set it and the heater will sort out the temperature by itself.

  3. 88 is too hot for Mollies I have Mollies with platys and swordtails and they like a good 78-80 degrees that is where they are happiest
