Help with body image?

I feel sooo fat because i am only 14 and have measured around 1 in below my belly button and its 40" and i weigh like 155 pounds and am 5'8" i feel SSOOOO fat! :( please help

  1. exercise and eat healthier. it really shouldn't bother too much. your only 14 years old, it could easily even out....it's puberty...it sucks. Besides 155 lbs. for your height isn't that bad.


  2. at your age is normal to feel like this hormones are raging in your body and soon enough you will lose the weight...155 pounds for a 5'8 girl doesnt sounds bad at all..if you lose about 15 pounds you would be in the average

  4. Your body is not finished developing yet. It's much too soon to worry. If, however, you want to feel like you are actively working on it, my suggestion to you is that you stick to a health eating plan, get plenty of exercise, take a vitamin pill each day, and get adequate sleep. Your body weight will take care of itself. Healthy foods: fill up on long grain brown rice, fresh vegetables, and legumes. Then eat moderately of all other kinds of foods.

    Everything will work out just fine! I promise.  

  5. Sweety, a lot of kids girls and boys as well go through a chubby stage at your age. Keep active and eat right, don't try any starvation diets. You'll be fine.

  8. You're only 14, give it some time. Everyone goes through an awkward phase. And you dont even have to worry because youre not overweight or anything. You cant just live your life saying oh im so fat. Really, dont worry about it.

  10. You are a growing girl and if you feel fat then start exercising and eating better

  11. Join a sport! It helps with your confidence and helps get you in shape. I was in track and field during high school. I felt so awesome when I won 5 points for my team at every meet by getting first. Or just helping to cheer my team on. It feels good to be a part of something bigger. At district championships my head coach got a picture with me and two other senior girls with the trophy since we all helped win it.  



  12. JUST exercise and stay happy. You are only 14, you might be experiencing hormonal changes and stuff. Dont diet until you have reached your 20s, when you stop growing.
