ok so im trying to find out how to book a cruise for the summer for my family (theres 5 of us). i entered some info on the booking page, and this is what came up:

- for each person with air its about $5,000

--but then it says something about the 3rd-8th tickets are only about $2,000 each. is that true or do i pay $5,000 for each person?

  1. answer MY question, can u sleep over at my house saturday night?

  2. A standard cabin will hold two, three or four people.  The only cabins I know that will hold five are very expensive suites (more than you are paying).  Nonetheless, I am not familiar with every ship in the fleet, so lets assume you found a cabin that will hold five.

Cabins are sold based on two people.  So the price listed is per person for the first two people.  Additional people in the same cabin (when the cabin holds more than two) pay a reduced rate.  So, you should expect to pay less for the third and fourth person in the cabin.  If the cabin can hold five, then you should expect to pay less for the third, fourth and fifth person in the cabin.

The following is from NCL's website ...

    Do children cruise for free?

Kids under two cruise at a substantially reduced fare and certain itineraries offer specials on 3rd and 4th guests in the same stateroom. Infants under six months of age are not eligible for travel on NCL ships.

  3. Yea there are often deals on larger groups booking, so it wouldn't surprise me!  Try going on http://www.ticketsavvy.com because I think you may get a better deal there :) have fun cruising is awesome!

  4. I have been on a lot of NCL cruises, including one this past Nov.  But  you really have not included enough information for us to provide definitive advice.  Information like where you want to cruise to, where you will be flying to/from, what type cabin or cabins you want (usually a cabin will sleep 4 people unless you book a suite or family cabin.

I suggest that you may need to talk to a travel agent, or just call NCL at the number on the web site and they will give you options and let you select what you want.  You need to know also that you DO NOT have to book airline tickets withe cruise line, you can book your own and its generally cheaper and you have more control over when you fly.  You can add air later if you don't find a better deal on your own.  The cruise line will automatically add in travel insurance unless you specifically request that it not be included.  You can book your own travel insurance later.
