  1. Well, the length of the day does affect a bird's internal clock. You could try using lights to keep them up a little later in the evening to balance things out.

  2. First the breeding cycle of all birds relies on daylight hours(length of day light etc.)

I had this problem when breeding my birds ,

I overcame this by delaying the time my birds came out into the aviary and putting automatic shades in their living quarters, opened them at 7.30.am extending their daylight by putting in daylight tubes,  a  light with a dimmer switch into the evening.so as not to alarm them when the lights went out I also put dawn to dusk lights near their feeders for winter feeding.

It did not stop them from breeding.

I also kept Songsters and my neighbour complained about them  but when it was found that it was a Thrush that was singing early in the morning 3.30.am they withdrew their complaint.

They had a dog that barked all day but that was o.k.in their eyes.

Your birds are to precious so try  this and your birds will be o.k. but start this regime before breeding season not into it as they may get disturbed

Hope this gives you some ideas.

    Best of luck.

  4. I feel so sorry for you having such miserable sodding gits as neighbours..

Have they got kids? Are they really quiet?

Isnt it always the way, You're having a really good day and then some barsteward has to come along and spoil it...

You should get a tape recording of a dawn chorus of wild birds, a really loud amplifier stereo system and BLAST the bl@@dy lot of them at 6 a.m. for several days a week, miserable tossers
