Help with cake ideas! (pics) ?

Question

i'm having my sweet 16 but i'm not sure what flavor or colors to tell the person making the cake.

i was thinking vanilla/ confeti cake to make it colorful inside with chocolate frosting.

or should it be lemon cake.. or any other ideas of flavors??

and my invatation color scheme is terqouise, silver and black. should those be colors on the cake?

i would go with the confetti cake, more people would like the taste and it looks prettier:]

and you could probably ask the cake makers to change the pink colors on the cake to turquoise, silver, and black

but thats not a big deal :]

as long as the decorations match the cake

i love that cake its amazing but i do that withh the vinilla confetti on the inside and the outside decorated withh the colors of your invites :]]

I LOVE the cake picture! Only the ribbons and stars should be silver. Two of the layers and the 16 should be turquoise. Also a little more black. I love the vanilla/confetti inside. I don't think chocolate frosting though. Maybe something fruity? Or you could have an ice cream cake withe vanilla frosting. Choose whatever you like. I'm sure however you do your cake it will look great!

you should use that design with those colors! and depending on your theme you can change the little decorations on the bottom to be more you!

i would then have a differen't cake inside for each layer!

the biggest layer shoudl be the one that you think more people will like!

or you can have vanilla in each one and dye each layer inside a  different color!

or you can go to the bakery where you plan to have it made and see if they can make other cool flavors!

on teh food network they had a cake challange adn some people made cakes that were flavored mochca, s'mores, cherry...etc!

i think it should be chocolate(all the people that are coming are gonna LOVE chocolate!) and it should have a pink frosting design like the one in the picture. but those ones are REALLY expensive, aren't they?

you should definetly useideas of the picture you gave.its really fun and exciting.  use vanilla cake, maybe switich up the colours like add in some lime green, tirquoise, orange, pink, white things like that.

Very cute cake:)  You might look on Food Network's website, where you can search by tv show.  Look up Ace of Cakes. I hope you realize that these cakes are $100s ....  I would NOT do a vanilla/confetti cake with chocolate frosting, because the brown wouldn't go with the rest of the cake.  However, your bakery COULD color white chocolate to match the confetti color.   You might also consider a checkerboard cake; with turquoise and dark chocolate as the colors, with silver dragees and decorations.......
