Help with camcorders?

ok, for starters. me and tech, don't get along well. i was wondering if anyone knows about Sony DCR-DVD201. it records on disc, but i have no idea how to upload it to my computer. when i open it, it says no objects found. it would really really REALLY be awesome if someone could help me with it. you'de have my undying gratitude.

Does the disc need to be finalized?

If your computer has a drawer loading DVD drive Download and install a ripper like HandBrake

and rip the video on the DVD to something more useful like MP4, .mov or .avi.

If your computer has a slot-loading DVD drive or the optical drive does ONLY CDs or there is no optical drive at all, you will need to get an analog/digital bridge
