Help with car audio system ( amp?)?

I have an old honda I am pretty much restoring. I have a pioneer reciever installed and ....well that's pretty much all I've done...I'm not really up to date with "systems" and I need some advise on what would sound best and what kind of amp to buy to push 2 tweeters, two 10" woofers and two 4" dash speakers....the dash speakers are 150 watts....sony woofers (xplodes) no idea on thier max output....and the tweeters?

Can anyone give me advise on choosing whatever I need?

I really don't want to crack the windows or need a hearing aide later in life.....but just make it sound good....

Thanks...CDN :)

  1. memphis car audio has 2 great amps that will suit what your looking for.

these amps are called "the memphis belle" its a class d amp for your subs, and a class a/b for your mids/highs

theres the "baby belle" and the "big belle"

they are designed to power the whole system without having to have an amp for your highs and another for your subs.

all you have to do is run your power/ground/accessery wires, speaker wires,  and then a special 5 plug rca. tune it properly and your ready to go.  it really sounds good and its nowhere near a hoex to make money. memphis amps are the real deal and their sq is rarely unmatched in my opinion.

try memphiscaraudio.com sometime and find the belle under amplifiers.

also in the future you might want to replace those sony woofers, they are alright, but not really the best way to go.

  2. Don't amp anything but the subwoofers. If they are sony 10 inch then they're most likely 1000 watts max power. If you're not going for the really loud bass then you wont need a really high powered amp. Walmart has a sony 4 channel amp 600W max power for about 100 bucks. You can amp the dash/door/tweeters but you really dont need too. Also almost all amps are adjustable so you can turn it up or down depending on how much bass you want. So you will need to get the amp and a wiring kit.
