Help with cassette adapter?

Hi I just got a cassette adapter to listen to my mp3 player through my standard ford cassette player - but can't seem to get it to work - my radio keeps overiding it!! if I turn the volume to zero you can just make out the sound from the MP3 - any ideas how to get it to work??? thanks in advance :-)

  1. I've got one of these and it does the same thing. Keep pushing it in and ejecting it until it decides it wants work. Sometimes it helps to switch off the radio, put the cassette in and then turn on. I don't know if this genuinely helps or if it's just a case of having a knack.


  2. Turn the mp3 player's volume up to nearly maximum. The radio cuts in because the electrical current coming from thr player is too low.

  3. some have a switch on the cassette try flipping it.

    you should put on a track while it's playing, and if the cassette goe's to radio, try switcheing the cassette side.
