  1. XMAS90,,,  have it down pack for you now go get the job

  2. I've worked in the childcare field for a while, so I will give you the tips that I think are important in interviewing. Of course, be confident and convey to the interviewer how much you enjoy working with children. You may also want to be prepared with examples of activities you would do with children to help enhance their learning. Working in childcare does not only entail playing. If you need ideas of activities for children, the internet is a great resource.

  3. Give a firm handshake and dress appropriately -very clean and professional.  In early childhood, we are looking for positive and cheerful people who love children.  Go with some ideas in case they throw something like that at  you - give me a craft idea for snow - or summer - or whatever.  Just have some ideas in your head.  List your strengths - teamplayer, positive, flexible (big one in early childhood coz you never know what can happen!), love children. Weaknesses -turn those into strengths, I'm not happy until the job is done right.   Discipline - ask what their policy is - noone is allowed to strike a child or humiliate (obviously) but time out is so overused as well - go with redirection.  Good luck - I hope you can get the job that you want - we need good people in the early childhood field that enjoy it!

  4. 1. Match the energy of the people who interview you.  If they are up..then match it.  People hire people like themselves.

    2. Hiring is all about solving problems...ask them what are the problems that will be solved by hiring for this role....OR what are their biggest problems....

    3. Tell then how you can solve these problems with your experience, training etc.

    4. Close them.... this means asking the tough question to find what they are thing about.  "Do you have any concerns about my ability to do this job":  If they I wish you had XYZ....address their concerns.. If you don't know XYZ...then tell them that you are a fast learner.  If they say that they have no concerns...your are done!  ask "what are the next steps"?

If they ask if you have any questions say Yes!

a good one"Why did you choose to work at this company"

Also if they offer you a coffee or water take it...even if you don't want to drink....it helps to break the ice...

Lastly remember you are interviewing the company to see if they are worthy of you....relax..be yourself....

    Good Luck!
